What is the Expert Influence Score?

Your EIS (Expert Influencer Score) is designed to measure how effective you are at demonstrating your expertise online. It is calculated by measuring your success at building your brand, and creating and sharing content.

Creating Passle posts consistently over time is the single most effective way of building your Passle score. However, because it is also essential that your posts get seen and read, your EIS also rises each time your posts are shared and viewed.

Also, since it is particularly important that your clients and prospects are influenced by your content, your EIS rises each time you send an ISTATOY. Your EIS is also influenced by how complete your profile is, and your commitment to expanding your brand online.

How is it calculated?

Your EIS is calculated by summing together all your actions that drive points, with your more recent actions building on your existing scores. However, since building influence online takes time, past actions continue to contribute to your score.

Your score is a summation of four different performance types (each made up of a total of 25 points): Personal brand, Your expertise, Sharing and One-to-one.

Each performance type score can be broken down further, as follows:

ESTABLISH YOUR PERSONAL BRAND

Passle profile (max. 10)
You are awarded all 10 points, or nothing for completing your profile to a minimum standard (currently, the minimum standard is set so that the ‘About me’ entry must be populated).

Target (max. 10)
You are awarded all 10 points for having set a target (or nothing for no target set).

Profile views (max. 5)
Your points are awarded based on profile views using an open-ended system (so you never get to the maximum of 5 points, but get increasingly closer as your views go up).

SHOWCASE YOUR EXPERTISE

Publish expert insights to Passle (max. 25)
Your first post scores more points, and subsequent posts score less. The score is capped, so beyond ‘X’ posts no more points will be gained.

SHARE YOUR INSIGHTS

Share views (max. 20)
Your points are awarded based on share views using an open-ended system (so you never get to maximum of 20 points, but get increasingly closer as your views go up).

Post views (max. 5)
Your points are awarded based on post views using an open-ended system (so you never get to maximum of 20 points, but get increasingly closer as your views go up).

EXPERT-TO-EXPERT

Sending ISTATOYs via the bookmarklet (max. 15)
Your first ISTATOY scores more points, and subsequent ISTATOYs score less. The score is capped, so beyond ‘Y’ ISTATOYs, no more points will be gained.

Sharing posts via email/ ISTATOY (max. 10)
Your first post shared by email/ISTATOY scores more points, and subsequent posts shared by email/ISTATOY score less. The score is capped, so beyond ‘Z’ ISTATOYs, no more points will be gained.

How best to increase your score?

The best way to increase your score is to create and share content that is of value to your clients regularly over time. And the best way to ensure you do that is to set yourself a goal.

There are two ways you can set goals within Passle. The simplest is to set a target EIS that you wish to reach and maintain; the most effective is to set yourself a post creation goal, which can be done here.
