Full Stack Developer

Role – Full Stack Developer
Location – United Kingdom (able to travel to our Oxford HQ on occasion)
Reporting to – CTO
Contract – Full Time / Permanent

Here at Passle, we are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to come join us in our Development team. The role is an exciting opportunity to get experience in a fast growing technology business. You’ll have the opportunity to get to know our product intimately and play a key role in the development of it, as well as experimenting with and evaluating new technologies.

What is Passle?

An Enterprise SaaS company, Passle is an Expert-to-Expert Sales and Marketing Platform which puts the knowledgeable experts within a company at the heart of the sales and marketing process. Passle enables its users to easily create thought leadership content (in the form of blog-style posts), giving the experts within the client’s firm a voice to share their knowledge online. These posts are published onto their firm’s website where they can be shared seamlessly across social networks, emailed to key contacts or compiled into newsletters. Not only does it make it easy for them to produce content but ultimately helps them build the relationships that drive growth in the business. Our clients include some of the world’s largest law and professional services firms including Deloitte, Freshfields, Linklaters and Reed Smith.

What does the role involve and what could you be doing? 

As a Full Stack Developer you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our different platforms within an agile environment. You will be developing new functionality, investigating new technologies, and working with our product, design and testing teams when required to ensure functionality is delivered to the highest standards.

Our development team works closely together to ensure we maintain a quality code base and work to the same coding standards. Everybody contributes to try to improve the way we work and ensure we are delivering a maintainable, robust and secure application. You will be involved in code reviewing other developers’ work, as well as discussing feedback on your own code. 

You will be working with C#, .NET MVC and MongoDB while working on the back end and HTML, Less, Sass, Javascript, Typescript, JQuery and Angular while working on the front end of our platform. For our hosting infrastructure we use AWS, and we use various other AWS services such as Lambda, Cloudfront, Cloudformation. For our mobile apps, we use React Native.

Non-technical skills

Here are some things that we’ll be looking for evidence of:

  • Relevant degree qualification 
  • At least 3 years experience in a Full Stack Development role
  • Self-starter attitude, hunger to learn and willingness to work hard
  • Detail oriented and able to work to deadlines  
  • Team player
  • A problem-solver who is able to see the big picture
  • Enjoy learning new technologies

 Technical skills

The ideal candidate would have experience with a good selection of the following technical skills:

  • C#, .NET MVC, WebAPI
  • Angular
  • Non-relational databases (eg MongoDB), including optimisation
  • Cloud hosting (eg AWS, Azure)
  • Version control systems such as Git 
  • Building robust and secure web applications
  • AWS services such as Lambda, Cloudfront, Cloudformation
